01 C240 stuck front brake disc
I am working on replacing front brakes and rotors on my C240 w/ 105k miles. Brakes have never been replaced so everything is pretty rusty including the disc which I cannot remove, it just wouldn't budge. I tried hammer, WD40, is my last option to heat it and pound. Please help me with your advice.
Thanks. |

There is a screw you have to remove I think. Did you remove that?

After removing the screw you'll want a hunk of 2 x 4 and a 3 or 4lb hammer too. Will take a couple of good wacks.

one hit with a 2lb hammer on the face of the rotor should make it pop off with a good smack.

Got it. Used a bigger hammer and after 3 good smacks it yielded. The other side also took only 4 smacks with the bigger hammer.
Thanks for your help. |
