The same symptoms on both of my benz. first was a flex disk (but you have to admit that the new vibration after the last balancing might indicate that a bad rear tire was moved to the front and then misbalanced hence the "SHAKING" in the front and the second car had bad strut tops. No problems at high speeds but at low speeds not a nice thing. Good luck.

Golly, I can feel your frustration there.

Perhaps I ought to consult the service books we have here ... trouble-shooting.

Kerry, (ymsin)

well... ya know what... I guess I'll just have to live with the vibration for maybe around 2-3 years... by then, I will be able to and it will be about time to replace everything in the front end suspension area (maintenance wise)... it is not too bad... just that it is a bit annoying hearing that noise and feeling the vibration. thanks for your suggestions... If I do find out what's wrong... you guys will surrely be hearing from me... My C has somehow always had unique problems... dont know why...

I just got off the phone with the MB service centre and they were adamant that it was classic case of uneven wear on tyres. I told them that you had refitted new wheels and tyres and yet the problem persisted.

There was silence over the phone ... and then "maybe its a strut or somewhere along the suspension BUT I still think its the tyres ... ".

Hmm ... I do hope we find a cure soon as its affecting me too ...

vibration at 45 mph and 60 mph

u said that u had the lower control arms replaced. its a common thing for the lower control arm bushings to go bad. put the car in the air and check the bushings, there is two bushings in the front lower control arm, check the rear of the two. when putting them in the car must be on the ground when tightening the camber and caster bolts. also lower ball joints have been known to go!! good luck
