Does anyone know where the vacuum line that comes out of the transmission attaches on the other end? This is in a 1990 560 SEL.

As I recall, it goes on the rear of the intake manifold. I'll have to check my CD's in the morning.

On the 300SE, (also a w126) it does indeed connect to the intake manifold near the rear of the engine. There is rubber elbow connector fitted to the nipple on the manifold, and that connects to a hard plastic vacuum hose which runs down the driver's side of the engine and along the transmission to the vacuum modulator.

Indeed, on almost all models that use a transmission modulator, the vacuum comes from the intake manifold. I can't speak for all models, but if you run your hand along the intake manifold (preferably cold
