190 E2.6 air filter lid hose connections -Please help

I have 190E2.6 , 1989. I replaced the air filter but 1/4 inch hose discunnected, this hose is from the shaped hose (1/2 inch) that connect from engin to air filter lid. Please help on how this 1/4 inch hose connect to and if you have a picture it would help.

any help on passing the smog test, would be appreciated.
