95 E320 wagon EGR tube procedure question

OK, I want to check my EGR tube for blockage and clean if needed. I understand there is a way to hand actuate but frankly I am not sure what this actually means I need to do. I don't know what this tube looks like as I can't seem to find any good descriptions about this procedure. Does anyone have a step by step procedure. I have done some searches but I get the feeling I need some very basic orientation as to where I am working and what I am looking for. Picts are awesome. Can someone either point me to a post that has picts or send some picts and description of how to hand actuate the EGR valve and what this procedure involves? Thanks. Second, please point me to a good step by step procedure for removal and cleaning this tube. I see many posts that are all over the place on this procedure. Does someone have a favorite post that an idiot can follow. I'm not actually that bad but feel intimidated on some of these things when I don't know what I'm looking for. Sorry for the dumb questions. Thanks a bunch folks.
