An electrical puzzle with my 300Ce

The other day my wife came in and told me our car's, '91 300CE, wipers didn't work, and she also noticed that the power seats and widow didn't work. I'm suspecting that all of these are connected somehow. Anybody got a clue where I might look. Thanks jmerc6

Check the fuse box under the hood, driver's side. The card in the lid descibes which circuit each fuse protects.

I did that and didn't see any bad fuses. Then last night when I got home my wife said everything is working now. Does that shed anymore light on it?

Those fuses decay with time. the metal becomes sort of porous and crumbly. Also the sprung contacts can build up with corrosion from the fusewire, thus creating a bad contact. Try rotating the fuses to clear corrosion, and lift out the fuse and check the fuse wire too. I replaced the lot of them on my car.
Its a simple fix to rule out before trying more major items.
