Hello everyone.

I need with instructions on how to replace the serpentine belt on my 2001 clk430. i have already purchased the belt from the dealer and will like to do it myself if possible.

Depending if you have the new or old style tensioner, you'll need an E10 or a 17mm socket to release tension on the belt. Removing the fan is not necessary, but it will make the job easier. You'll need a 36mm wrench on the fan clutch while counterholding the pulley. Once the fan is off and you have released tension on the belt you can use a 4-5mm diameter pin or similar to hold the tensioner in the released position. There's a notch on the lower right side of the tensioner.
