My 1989 300E has a factory alarm and for some reason the alram goes on. I would like to know on how to turn this alarm off.

You can disconnect the black box marked Becker under the front passenger floor/toeboard to disable the alarm.

If it's the sensor, then you'll know that, and can leave it off until the weather is better. If not the sensor, then you'll know that too, and can move onto the door triggers and connectors.

you have problems with the antitheft wiring harness or switches at the doors, trunk lid, hood contact
