560SEC fues woes

Hi All,

I have an 89 560SEC and am having some problems with fuse 15 blowing.

for the first year I owned it, I didn't have this problem, and then after replacing the fuse it was good for about a month, then got shorter and shorter until it would last about a day.. It normally trips when the seatbelt extender is coming out.

I find the seatbelt extender rather irritating (and it startles my passengers) so I dont' mind getting rid of it so I found a thread that suggested there were two boxes (one on each side) that control these behind the rear seat and so I disconnected them. Now the fues blows right away - as soon as I put it in, even if I reconnect those boxes. Any ideas are much appreciated. I would like to get my central locking working and to stop the fasten seatbelt sign. I don't care about the seatbelt extender (actually I prefer not to have it), the antnna or the rear light as I don't use those things.

Bryce
