Replaced battery now no blower motor. C230K
I had to change the battery in my 99 C230K. I found the battery was completely dead. Lost several previous operating systems, windows, radio, etc. Everything is working fine now except the heater fan/blower motor.
Have checked the fuses according to the Mercedes fuse chart and a service schematic (both were different). The blower does not come on at all and after the car is warmed up I can feel some heat coming from the dash but without the blower it is nothing to rave about. One schematic says to check fuse 23 and the box fuse diagram says to check fuses 20 and 30. Any one out there have any suggestion as to where to look next? When I first tried the blower after battery replacement, I thought I had smelled something burning, like a wire or some other electrical component. the blower motor had worked great prior to the dead battery. |

My wiring diagram shows fuse 29 being the one powering the blower regulator. Fuse 20 and 30 power the control head. They all need to be good.
