carburetor

I have 1988 model 200 which was imported from Germany as a second hand vehicle.For the past month or so whenever i shut the engine after a ride it get off with few jerks in the engine as if there is a missing. The guys here dont know head or tails about it. They said the problem is in the Pre Ignition. Will the problem change if i change the carburetor? Plese help .
