1985 300TD carburetor or injection

Is my 1985 300TD Wagon (W123) an injection or carburetor engine. I just purchased a bottle of Fuel System Conditioner and Antifreeze because I think my Diesel fuel is frozen but I don't know whether to add it. On the bottle is says for "Fuel Injected Engines Only."

Thanks, Igor Zeljic (Minneapolis)

Vipers problem

Also, this car has not been driven in a long (and cold) time and we just started it yesterday. The vipers are extremely slow when moving and I wonder whether I should open the viper motor and spray some WD-40 but I can't locate the viper motor. Again, it is a 1985 300TD Wagon (rear viper works fine).

Thanks again, Igor.

There is no such thing as a carburetted diesel engine. They are all injection.

Don't use any additive not meant for diesel engines, it will harm the injection pump with expensive consequences.

Hi Igor, the wiper motor is behind the cowl cover, the outer grills have to be removed first then the center cover comes off. The grills have pins that must be pried out and the cowl cover has pins that must be pushed in.The pins and holders are kind of like drywall anchors, they expand when the pin is inserted so remove the center part first and then the holder.Good luck.
