Cant see the switch
On a 91 420sel what is the proceedure to replace the throttle switch that operates when the throttle butterfly valve is fully closed. I know it is on the throttle rod somewhere, but I cant even see the little bugger. I followed the wire leading to it but it disappears deep inside the intake manifold someplace. What has to be removed to get to it? My idle is not under control and this switch reads defective.

It's not as easy as you might think. The switch is located on the throttle body but you have to remove the top side of the intake to get to it.
