Wind deflector

The wind deflector on my sunroof doesn't pop up when the roof is retracted. How do I fix it?

Start by lubricating it...if that doesn't work, there are a couple of springs you can replace.

Thanks. I'll try lubricating the mechanism. I have the shop CD's and they give directions for removing and installing the wind screen but say nothing about the springs or remedies for a non-functioning screen. I've found the CD's to be of mixed value. Some items are well covered; others are inadequate at least for the novice DIY'er.

I try to amass as much as I can with regards to manuals, CDs...and this forum. You are right. Some instructions are too vague or just aren't there at all. SO you have to try other means.

Then there is the just-go-at-it-and-see-what-you-can-find method, making you either a subject matter expert, or the goof who just destroyed a perfectly good (and expensive) part. I usually fit the latter description ...
