Anyone know the shift pattern on early 90's 5-speed SL's?

I need a shift knob and boot for my gray market '95 S280 5-speed and thought this one on Ebay Germany would work: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160311554380&viewitem=

but the shift pattern is different with reverse being at the upper left:

R 2 4
1 3 5

while my car has it at the lower left:

...1 3 5
R 2 4

The only manual trans cars sold here that has the same 1 piece shift knob and boot were the early 90's SL's. Does anyone know the shift pattern of those cars?

The U.S. 129 sticks were a dogleg shift pattern - like your first example. What about the 86 and 88 300Es?

ps - never mind, the 300Es have R below 5 according to EPC.
