2000 E320 AC -EC light On
Ok my ac quit blowing cold air out the left side for several days. Now it quit blowing cold air all together. The EC light is on. I pulled the codes. It appears it is just low on Freon. The compressor does not kick in. Reading the static pressure is 70 psi. I tried to jumper the pressure switch on the drier without any luck. Does anyone know how to get the compressor to start again so I can check the system with my AC gauges and charge the system. I have seen that in a couple of sites they say to replace the evap temp sensor under the dash. But will that solve the compressor from not starting? Do I need to reset the ECT on the climate control to get things going again? If so how. Thanks

Check out this website. He has a great list of codes and procedures to troubleshoot. www.eclassbenz.com He has a tool you enter your codes and it tells you what you should/need to do. Good Luck
