95 E320 part 124-2701673
Has anyone changed this part? Local shop asking $650.00. It looks to go to throttle after a quick look under the hood. Is a vacuum related transmission part. Thanks

Probably one of these - http://catalog.peachparts.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=1995-Mercedes--benz-E3--0--Sedan-Transmission&yearid=1995%40%401995&makeid=63%40%40MERCEDES%2DBENZ%40%4063%40%40MERCEDES%2DBENZ%40%40X&modelid=6392%3ABT%7C5%3AMBC%7C1508%3AED%7C10000022%40%40E320+Sedan&catid=241185%40%40Transmission&subcatid=241289@@AT+Kickdown+Cable&mode=PA - available for $165 here, Buyparts, at the top of the page. It's not easy to get to but $650 sounds way too high. Try a search on kickdown cable.

From my experience, it would probably be necessary to remove the transmission to change this part. Did the $650 include the labor to install?

Many guys just BB the line , specially in Southern climates.
It is for shift delay when cold [ code 26] emmissions.

I've had it done without transmission removal.
