I stumbled on
this ebay post selling an EZL unit which states:
Quote:
We believe a possible cause of failure in these units is due to the age and condition of the ignition coils as it seems to be a common problem of vehicles of around 15 years. We always supply used ezl controls with new ignition coils as an added insurance and a 60 day warranty. These are included in the price. This has worked well over the last few years as we have never had another used part fail

Can anyone back this up?
I ask since I have a qualifying vehicle ('94 E420) and a pair of coils that I *thought* I needed to replace. If it's just paranoia I will be putting the coils up on ebay.
