Anyone live in or near Western MA?

When my car was under warranty, I brought it to New Country MB in Hartford, CT. I never had to pay for a thing, but the service dept. is HORRIBLE there. I brought my '06 C280 there 3 times for the same problem.. Every time I picked it up it was fine for a few days, then back to the same problem. The final "fix" came right before my warranty came up and sure enough, 1 week later it was back to the same problem. Since it was out of warranty, they told me I would have to pay for them to fix it again!! Needless to say, I will not be going back there for any problem or when my next service comes along.

Anyway, I have been reading tons of posts and am finding that everything seems pretty easy to DIY. I have never worked on any car and am afraid I will screw something up - let alone figuring out what the actual problem is. Besides, with a baby on the way, I wont be able to afford bringing my car to a dealer!

Do any of you DIY'ers live in Western MA or close by? Rather than helping online with advice, would you be willing to service my car for me? I am willing to pay you for your time and would ask that you showed me what you were doing so I may be able to learn something myself!

Thanks guys!

If they did not fix it in three tries, I would go back to the dealership and demand a meeting with the MB zone rep, and if it does not work suggest the "lemon" law just because it ran out of warranty and their previouis repairs did not resolve the situation you have a legal avenue. Do not attempt to do any repairs since they wiill claim you caused the damage.

First off I agree they need to stand behind their repairs that were performed under warranty!! Especially if it was the same problem. A good friend of mine just bought a used 06 C280 and had to have it towed to New Country, they found the problem and resolved it under warranty. I have heard mixed things about New Country.
You could try Walts Brothers in West Springfield. I know they used to be exclusively Saab and Volvo when I lived in West Side. I think now they may incorporate more makes. My mom's friend took her Lexus there for work and was pleased. I also remember a small garage on Main St in Agawam that sold alot of imports. I was near the Country Squire and Hood. It might be worth a shot. Do you know why Lewbar closed?? I drove by there last year and noticed they were shut down...

(Only thing I can add to that...I wouldn't be "Begging" for a meeting with the MB Zone Representative...
Dr. "Z" would have to change his home Telephone # in Deutschland.)

I believe Mr. Dalton is expressing his Professional Opinion in a Jovial Manner.
AND Cautioning against DIYs by the unaware(and unskilled).

I did bring it back after the warranty was up and they temporarily fixed it once again. Problem is, this time they said that it wasn't related to the original problem and that some plate was bent and was rubbing, so they bent it back. They "did me a favor" and didn't charge me for this. Sure enough, the noise I was hearing went away, but 1 week later, it was back! So my arguing got me a "free" service, but they lied about the problem and gave me a temporary fix once again.

I had a Saab and brought it to Walts Bros and was happy with them. They told me they will only do basic service to Mercedes - brakes, oil changes... JE Robison is great, but they are expensive. Since everything seems so easy to DIY, I was hoping to find someone to help me without getting ripped off at the shop.
