Engine Missing Intermittently
I have an 87 300e. The engine misses intermittently. It usually starts missing when it idles for a few minutes. I have not replaced the plugs or wires and have ruled out garbage in the gas tank. This is my first Benz and am not familiar with possible common issues. If any one can give some ideas as to what may cause this it would be greatly appreciated.

If there isn't any vacuum leaks??
Then the most likely a problem with fuel delivery. Injector is the most likely.

Pull off the distributor cap and take a look at the rotor + cap for any cracks or dirt. Clean them, but if suspect, replace them.
Start with an ignition system tune up if it needs one. If your idle air hoses are hard, replace them too. There are a few: 2 go into the Idle Control valve -- One to the throttle body and the other near the head (this one is the hardest to do). The other two are attached to the valve cover.
