Ignition switch wires

Does any one know for certain if the wires coming out of the starter switch are color coded? if so what color is the switch that goes to the starter relay? I was planning on putting a momentary closed or toggle switch to prevent starting of the engine by people who do not know of the switch. it looks like all the wires coming out of the key starter are bundled in a black sleeve. also how many volts does the relay draw ie from the key to the starter relay.
thanks in advance

I have seen this done with a 30 and 40A relay. On the lower portion of the right fender you will find a block that has 3 or 4 wires inside. One of them is the start wire. I think most of them should be purple, but I am not for sure because I don't have the ETM in front of me.

Donnie, i found the block you were talking about, inside was one large 5 pin connecter and one 4 pin connecter. The 5 pin had various colors red, blue etc.. the other one had 4 purple wires like you said so i took turna unplugging them first the smaller one. the car struggled but finally started, second i plugged the small one back in and unplugged the large connector and again the same story. both times the car started. maybe you and i are talking about 2 different things. i found this box facing the car from the front with the drivers side on my right, between the back of the front headlight and the wheel well.
is that what you were talkin about?

Try on the other side. Sitting across from the U shaped hose and the alternator. The block should have 3 wires in it. 2 are large and one is small. You want the small ones.
