I took out the air intake unit and here is what I noticed

I also noticed that the intake behind the butterfly is very oily, which leads me to thing that a lot of oil was getting in there via valve cover breather through the ICV. Also, the fuel injectors were soaked in oil...

A few updates

I took apart the air intake unit and adjusted the plate clearance.

Next I will be pulling out the air intake manifold and give it a deep cleaning.
