My Boss' 2000 E320 A/C won't get cold
I haven't actually had a chance to look at it yet, he's going to bring it in tomorrow.
Supposedly the symptoms are plenty of blow, just no cold. He took it into a guy who he thinks added refrigerant, decided that wasn't the problem, then removed refrigerant, then fessed up that he knew squat about A/C systems, then said that he "thinks" it's the evap. I have access to a decent manifold set, and I was wondering (since I've never even touched an E320) where would be a good place to start testing? Are there pressure switches or climate control components that are typical failure points? Thanks for any advice! -tp

First step is to verify charge. Of course you'll never know exactly how much is in there since you didn't charge via weight, but at least you can get close. Manifold gauges are a good start; the W210 also has self diagnostics that you can use. If the charge seems OK, you can begin exploring other options.
