What is this called, it is the source of my car whinning. I have been looking for this noise for a long time. Something to do with vacuum?

Looks like one of the EGR vacuum check valves. I got rid of all of mine and plugged the lines.

Where would I get one? Do they sell them here on this site? What would cause it to go bad? Sorry for all the ?s

Serves as a purge valve for the vac line coming off the thermo valve on the cylinder head and eventually ending up at the throttle housing. I believe the correct part number is 107-470-08-93, but you should confirm with the dealer or Internet vendor.
