1986 300E

What is this called, it is the source of my car whinning. I have been looking for this noise for a long time. Something to do with vacuum?

Looks like one of the EGR vacuum check valves. I got rid of all of mine and plugged the lines.

My car does not have a egr valve on it, it is right by the brake booster.
Look at the second picture you can see the abs booster.
