Unhappy Front fender replacment

How difficult is it to replace the front fenders on my '82 123? Has anyone out there done this? The front corners have rust holes and I want to have the car repainted. Thanks

Even though I'm not a BODY man I've done this several times on the W123 chassis. THE hardest part is getting the OE fender loose as it is "glued" to the inner fender. I used a hi-temp heat gun & puddy knife.
You must remove quite a few parts including the bumper & headlight.
Have the "new" fender painted before you start, both sides!
