W202 Electrical Gremlins.....

My 99 C230K has electrical issues.
The Power Seats on both sides do not work when the car is 1st started, but typically they will start working again after a few minutes.

Also the power window and mirror on the passanger door has stopped working.

Is there some connection between all these circuits?

Anyone have a wiring diagram for these components?

Thanks

The 2 problems are most likely 2 seperate issues.

The power relay is in the trunk & powers-up the power seat fuses.

The car has a door control module (DCM) in each door, most likely that DCM is the problem. A MB scanner would confirm.

Thanks for the reply.

Is the power relay the black one just to the left of the fuse panel in the trunk?

I have also heard about 2 window control modules in the trunk in front of the fuse panel...they are white and look similar to a relay....could these have something to do with the issue?

Thanks again.

Thanks...I did an extensive serarch a few weeks back...apparently I did not use the right keywords.

But just so I understand, this relay they are talking about on the other thread, is for the power seats only and does not have anything to do with the power windows?

Thanks

M.B. Doc is likely correct. The seat problem everybody has and it is the relay. The window problem is less common, but I had the same problem in a rear door. That is caused by a CAN control module (computer module). If M.B. Doc says it controls the mirror also then it probably does. I don't know why they go bad. I got one from a junk yard and it is going fine for 2 years now. They guaranteed it would work which was nice.

I pulled the relay and resoldered all the joints....the seats work now....will see how long it lasts.

I also pulled all the fuses from the fuse box in the trunk and sprayed the box with contact cleaner, and cleaned the fuse terminals with scotch bright. But them back...and the window and mirror work also.....again, let's see how long it lasts.

Thanks for the replies.

You can do voltage tests at the network connector when the problem comes back...

Only tool needed is a good digital volt meter.

My seats are still working, but the driver's window has stopped again.
It seems that when voltage is removed from the circuit, it resets and the window works for a while....but then it stops again.

Where is the module for the passanger front window?
Where can I find info and specs on the voltage check?

I appreciate any guidance you guys can provide.

Send me a e-mail with your e-mail address & I can supply you test info on that network, IF you have a good digital VOM.

Most likely issue IS 1 of the rear doors causing other door modules NOT to talk to each other.
