Which springs are stiffer? R129 vs W124

I'm curious to know if anyone knows which springs are stiffer, the 500SL/600SL or the 500E non-sls springs?

I'm thinking about getting a set, cutting them down to fit in my W201 for a stiffer ride. Anyone have experience with this?
