A little while ago, I posted a question about A/C cool-down speed, where I thought I fixed the problem by cleaning a bunch of crud off the A/C compressor with some cleaner.

It seemed to work for several days, but the the error has returned several times since then. Each time with the same symptom: The evap cools down to about 40 deg, and stays in that general area for a while. I can see the evap temp rise and fall as the compressor cycles on and off. After a period of time (it varies) I will see the evap temp rise to 60-70 deg before the compressor cycles on again. After it cycles on again the temp goes right back down to 40 and stays there for a while before going through the whole process again.

I looked the error up on alldata, and it translates to electromagnetic compressor clutch, but doesn't give a whole lot of detail. Can anyone give me some insight as to what kind of repair I'm looking at? Thanks!

BTW, this is on a '97 S420
