'92 300e A/C blower issue ...
I have a '92 300E and today the A/C blower does not seem to work, let me
explain more. When driving the vents give me A/C at what seems to be the low speed. But if I stop no air is comming out. Push button unit seems ok, the compressor. kicks in when I push the button. The vehicle has sat for 2 months, when last used the blower worked ok. I seem to remember starting the car about a mth ago in the garage. I hit the A/C control unit & heard a pop sound. I did today check the fuse next to the large fuse box, & the blower fuse looks ok. ( though I guess there could be a hair line crack in it I may have missed, will look again tomorrow ) Anyway past the fuse, are there any basic fuses, relays I can change or need to check out etc. What is weird it I do have low speed A/C as mentioned when driving, but not at idle. Would this fact indicate a vaccum issue. Higher reving motor pushing more vac so some blower, at idle very little pressure to vac system so no air ?? Thanks |
