Started up without much problem yesterday. I added some a few gallons of fresh gas as well. I ran the car at about 2,000 rpm for several minutes and everything was silky smooth. It does however run rough as I let of the accelerator or let it idle. I believe the sound I was hearing was the vehicle being starved of fuel. I haven't put the car on ramps yet, but I fear I have a bad catalytic converter - sounds like an exhaust leak and when I pulled the car in the garage the driveway had rust dropped off in the shape of either an exhaust shield or the converter. I won't have a chance to check it out further till this weekend.
