Hey - having relaced lots of windshields over the years, the big name outfits are all pretty good. Plus they come to your location and do the work. It's not all that difficult. Start with the Yellow Pages and call one of the big advertisers. Good luck!

You could call the local BENZ dealer. They might have a recommendation.

I didn't mean go to the local dealer. Our dealer here will give recommendations on radio repair, window replacement, etc. They don't want to fool with us old Benz people with old Benz's

Thank you all.

Indeed the first thing I did was to ask the dealer. They told me: "you have this old car and it does not deserve a $1,000.00 dealer installed original windshield. You should use any of the yellow pages guys".

Well, they don't know "this old car" is more of a hobby/passion than a car. My wife calls it "my german mistress", and complains on how much time I spent with "her". She wants me to get a new one (she doesn't know this could eventually led me to whish for other "younger things").

Anyway, back to the windshield, I just want someone who knows what he is doing to replace the windshield. I have a quote of $210.00 for a PPG windshield installed in my home ($190.00 at their shop). But I have read so many sad stories in this Forum about windshield replacement. that I was willing for a recommendation.
