1992 300CE SPORTLINE 24V - ASSIST

I recently sold my 88 300E and need to replace it. I have located a 92 300CE Sportline 24v with 120K, color black/black, no rust runs good need regular cosmetic work such as detailing, wood replacement front bumper cracked and wheels look like crap. I'm told it consumes some oil, I have read that the valve guide are an issue in these early 24v's. I was surprised when I opend the hood and saw the 24v I thought they came in the 93 annd newer.
I would appreciate assistance in what other concerns I should have and also from what I can see apart from the fender badges and shifter knob the Sportline seems to be suspension oriented it looks lower than my 300E did.
again any comments/suggestions very welcomed.
price in the area of $4k. I got a crazy amount for my 300E, $10K, it wasn't for sale but the guy kept bugging me and showed up with cash. Look at the pictures in my album it was perfect and everything worked no winters.
