94 e320 bubbling coolant

I went with a friend to see this 94 e320 for sale, nice wagon for a gasser anyway, the coolant expansion tank was bubbling with pressure after only a short ride, what is this?
Thanks

It's best to have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done by a MB-trained tech so you know the condition of the car and any imminent major repairs. Does the engine overheat during a short drive?

Bubbles in the radiator usually mean a bad head gasket. Combustion pressures are getting into the water jacket.
