124- vibration under throttle
Hello. My son just bought an '86 300E. What I notice is a vibration starting at about 45 MPH under throttle and getting worse as the speed increases. The moment that the throttle is released the vibration disappears, regardless of speed.
Any ideas where to start looking? Is there a center (carrier) bearing? Flex plate possible? Axle? U joint? Once again, it goes away immediately upon taking my foot off the accelerator. I can feel the vibration throughout the car. What sort of shop would be best equipped to diagnose? The dealer?
