Driver's Seat Switch

I managed to break a knob off my driver's seat switch while installing my door panel.

anyhow, i have a quick question: if i buy a switch with memory functions, will these memory positions work in my car? my current switch is the basic style with adjustments, but no memory functions ,,,,
