help needed replacing 93 124 bumper. Need tips
Swapping this out and the donor is a 94, mine is a 93. Looks like they simply bolt on; are the any clips that connect it? I just looked and it was kind of dark so I couldn't see well. Need tips and gotchas
Also, since I need to swap the color strip for the black one, need help here too. I got the screws out on the ends, the plate filler screws, and the screws for the metal bracket. All clips popped out fine except for 2. It appears the center is connected some other way. What's the trick? |

First the impact strip, just clips all the way if your center / plate-holder is uninstalled.
The bumper is mounted with a bracket on each end forward of the wheelwell (1 10mm bolt each), a bracket on each side under the headlamps accessible from below (2 13mm nuts each), and a center bracket accessible with the hood open (1 13mm nut).

Ok, but it looks like the centermost clips on the strip dont actually pop out - they look like one piece molded with the bumper. What am I missing?

I stand corrected. Much easier to work in daylight than with a flashlight. lol
20 minute job to swap once I figured out the last 5% |

Where's the '94 bumper strip going? (daughter thinks that they're to stop the car when parking)?
