Bad Seat Controller
I have an 84 300 SD. The driver's side seat won't move and my mechanic says it isn't the switch, but the control box under the seat. (Apparently not all 84 300 SD have position memory, but mine does. Only the driver's side seat.)
A new one costs 900 bucks. I don't know what to do at this point. He says he has never seen one go bad before. Lucky me. What else can be checked and what other options are there, other than paying 900 dollars for a new part. > > Thanks in advance. I appreciate you helping out folks with their problems. > |

Hey did you solve this seat problem yet? My 300se has a similar problem. The seats won't hold their memories.

you can try www.silverstarrecycling.com for used parts.
there are some other salvage yards for mercedes you can try too. I think one is called potomac german auto and the other is called atlanta stuttgart. I'm not 100% sure though on those two but the other one should have parts. Alon

When I bought the car, the memory never did work. Now the seat won't move.
