Plastic key head broken?
Here's a quick & easy repair if your key head cracked or broke. You may have seen the home made wood key head? It looks nice but some of us might not be able to do one. So, DON'T buy a new key if you don't need one - replace the head. *NOTE* THIS part number is for keys 2mm thick. If you have 3mm thick keys you might need another part number in the same family. Either way, you'll save some $$$.
Here's where you start. 1. Key repair parts. 2. Broken head with 2mm and 3mm keys. 3. You get the two black pieces. 4. Slide the lock end through the LARGE hole first...then all the way down. 5. Slide the locking piece in on top of the key head in. This might take a little lube and patience. 6&7. Should look like this. BTW, by camera battery was running low, I didn't do these on New Year's Day in '04.
