New guy here, small easy question re: 300D wood trim
Hello everybody. Somebody on the Corvette forum told me to check this place out because I had some questions about my 1984 300D.
Some of the wood trim above the AC controls and on the glove box is loose on the ends. How do I re-attach these pieces? I don't want to be bubba and just superglue them ![]() Thanks! |

I did it on mine using 3M weatherstripping, putting some on there behind it and sticking a broom handle between the seat and the wood trim to hold it in place until it sets. I have been told that a hot melt glue system works better. You should be able to get a broom handle ( I actually used a tennis racket) that you can adjust the seat enough to hold the glued down trim in place overnight.

I used to have the same problem. i used wood, super glue, even 3m spray. every time i would park it in the sun i would return to find them sitting on the floor of the car because of the hear. i found this really strong 3M gel type double sided tape at work and it works beautifully. extremly expensive though like $80 /roll.

That stuff always curves away from the dash!
I used 3M super trim adhesive. Mine is still holding, Good luck! |
