Grease the window mechanism?

I am currently working on some rust issues on my 400E.
Interior and exterior door panels are off, turns out the Door Check was toast, so i plan on replacing that.
While I have everything off the door would it be a good idea to grease the window linkage system? what would be the prefered type of grease to use?
