Engine cuts out

Hello all
I have a 1985 280CE Euro (66K), the car runs good, Had a used 110 installed about 2 years ago, but have not used the car very much. About three months ago I started using it regularly. I have put about 2500 miles on it since with no problems. This morning while on the highway, doing about 60 mph, the engine shut off. This lasted about 1 - 2 seconds, and the engine came back on. This happened 3 times with the same outcome.
The lights stayed on, the only thing I noticed was the tach went to zero. Each time the engine came back on after a couple of seconds. I am thinking electrical short, but where should I look.

yes it seems like a electrical/ignition problem but you might be surprised that the fuel pump relay was erratic. remove and clean the all pins best to resolder the or replace relay.

Thumbs up Thanks

Ordered a new relay from Phil, after talking to Roy. Both were great.
Hope this solves the problem

Will let you know as soon as soon as I receive it. It is coming from Germany (BIG $$$$$). Roy said there are only 100 available in Germany, and when supply is exhausted, thats it. I have continued to use the car with no problem, so I assume it is an intermitent problem, but better to be safe than sorry.
