SORRY,
yes if it cools down for a few it will. could it be a distributor mod? it is consistant. while driving it is fine but when you come to a stop and the temp hit 90c it will shut down. it will not leave you stranded, but it is a danger when on the highway in stop and go |

Kind of sounds like a failing fuel pump shutoff relay, OVP relay or TDC sender unit.

The above are indeed listed in the correct order of the cause
replace the fuel pump relay of course it can be resoldered same hold true for the overvoltage relay MAK |
