SGF Flex Disks? Found on ebay...

Can anyone tell me about the overall quality of SGF flex disks? It's time to do them on our 560SEL, and I found the disks for $54 on eBay, vs. Febi ones for $96 here, of or the Meyle for $83. The seller on eBay claims the SGF are OEM.

Thanks!

Not on my life would I install non-OEM flex discs. Why risk it?! To save $20?? Use LEMFOERDER GERMAN only.

From what I was learning through one of my sources research lately, SGF is actually one of the OEM suppliers, and a high quality one at that.

Talking with Jonathan Hodgeman at BlueRidgeMB, and Gary at BuyEuroParts, both list Lemforder above most of the companies that package the parts, but Gary was curious and found the SGF info after doing some research on them just recently.

Well, this 60+ year-old company's name means "South-German Driveshaft Coupling Factory" and they are an OEM supplier to many. They're probably better than the Lemfoerders.

SGF Is OE on 95% of MB applications.
Open a Febi box and you will see SGF.
Open a Lemfoerdoer box & you might find a SGF (70%)

SGF it is then...

I don't like trashing other manufacturers, but I recently put Meyle brake pads on our Audi, and regret it. They are clearly inferior to the original ones. Where is the difference?

The Audi brake pads had an adhesive backing to them, to they neither rattled nor squealed. Now with the TT, when I put the top down, it's a racket! So I have to do the job all over again.

Lesson learned. Knowing that SGF is OEM, and that the current flex disks have lasted 20 years and 120,000 miles, I am going for it - AT A LOWER PRICE!
