1989 260e Mixture Adjustment does nothing
Following this:
http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AUZYQAsG42vgZGNkdjd3ZmpfMjFmZm56cmY3cA&hl=en when I turn the mixture, it seems to do nothing. I have the extra X92 (CA cars), and I've followed the link above, and the volt meter reads a steady 12v. I've turned it at least 4 complete turns both ways, and nothing seems to change, not even the sound of the idle. It's back where it was now. I'm pushing down and I feel it engage. Push too much after engagement, and yes it will drop in idle. |

You know what, turning the mixture screw should just move the top plate up or down, it doesn't do that, I should at least see that, with 3 + turns in either direction! If I push the top throttle plate with my finger a little, then idle changes, like it should.
I wonder if that screw is stripped??? I might have to take the whole little tower off.... |

If you get it to work, make sure you turn it just slightly to adjust the duty cycle.
