Rare W124 center console storage bin?

So I bit the bullet and paid $100 for a mint center storage bin for my W124. I got it today and thought it would be a drop in/bolt on part. It DOES drop in of course but where it meets the wood trim, it feels like it doesn't fit right.

Did the W124's which included this option have a different type of wood trim so it fits flush?

If I didn't explain this correctly, I'll take some pics.

What year/model car?

The bin came in '90-up cars with the passenger airbag, no changes to the center console except no carpet in the storage tray.

Mine's a '90. So pretty much it should just be a drop in, screw it in, and ready to go?

Cool, I was kinda freakin' myself out! haha. Thanks guys! Although I kind of do feel stupid for spending $100 on that thing when it could of gone to a new transmission. Oh well, one by one I guess.
