Need info on K Jetronic tester kit
I'm going to sink some money into a good , use-it-for-life, sell-it-when-I-die fuel injection system test kit.
I'm not going into business but it's a PITA to have to go out to find/make/buy a fitting when you want to work on the car. Right now, I have a couple of American gassers and an M116 in a R107 380SL of 84 vintage. I believe that means I have a K-Jetronic. Here's the info I need, would appreciate it from people who know the FI system: 1. Is it indeed a K-Jetronic? 2. What's the difference between a K-Jetronic and a KE Jetronic? Should I care? 3. What fittings does the K-Jetronic/whatever I have need so I can diagnose my car's system, as soon as the manual gets here. I have a manual coming for the Bosch system, but it takes the store 21 days to deliver via Amazon, so they're getting the worst feedback imaginable to mail from Michigan from SC. 4. Any other advice or comments on kits or brands of testers would be welcome. Plus if anyone has extra tools that are home-made, like extra long jumper wires or other suggestions, they are also appreciated. Thanks I figured this question belongs here rather than SL, because this is not an SL-model question, but a gasser system question.
