Power steering removal?

So... I want to delete my power steering... I like the feel of the steering without the added boost of power steering, and was wondering if any of you guys deleted the power steering...

I am also looking at ditching SLS in favor or a more handling friendly traditional rear shock... So, ideas on how to go about bypassing the tandem pump are welcome.

The vehicle in question is an 88 300TE. Soon to be 360TE...

not a good idea. These cars were engineered for power steering. Deleting it changes everything.

Mercedes sold a manual steering version of the 190 in europe for a few years. The steering box should bolt on into your 300e.

What about just getting the sportline steering box instead?

Already have a sportline sedan box installed. Just want heavier weighted steering.
