part identification?
Hi there,
I am trying to order a part for my mercedes 2003 c230 kompressor and need help identifying the part. It is located near the left from tire axle and it is about 12 inches long. This rod became loose and started to drag while I was driving recently. I took off the tire and found this. Anyone know what this is called? If I can only get it through a dealership? And roughtly how much it costs? Thanks in advance! |

so I think I identified this as a tie rod but researching online, it says there is an inner and outer tie rod... how can I determine which one it is?

Not tie rod. Try Front Stabilizer Link. AKA, Sway bar link. http://catalog.peachparts.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=2003-Mercedes--Benz-C--30--Kompressor--Sedan-Suspension&yearid=2003%40%402003&makeid=63%40%40MERCEDES+BENZ%40%40X&modelid=6329%3ABT%7C5%3AMBC%7C2194%3AED%7C10000088%3ASM%7C852%3AEB%7C922%40%40C230+Kompressor+Sedan&catid=241464%40%40Suspension&subcatid=241475@@Sway+Bar+Link&mode=PA
