The Silver Star

Has anyone ever dealt with the Silver Star?? Mine on this MB seems to be limber like spagetti compared to the previous ones I owned. Is there a spring or something that might be broken?

Yes or a piece of the spring retainer has broke or fallen off.

Thanks for the help! Would you possibly know if you can get the spring etc. like you refer to separately, or if you have to buy the whole star & everything together??

Wow! No problem then, I guess. I always thought they must be expensive. With the issues of people always trying to grab them ripping them off. I was told before owning one myself.

Wow did I get robbed. I think my last one was changed for $60. Where do you get them for a 93 400 SEL so cheap?
