W204 Rear Suspension Help, Please?
Has anyone found a method to change the rear anti-sway bar without having to drop the rear sub-frame? Can the bar be "snaked" out across the car through the wheel well opening?
Thanks! |

If you have a floor jack or a lift, dropping the subframe enough to snake in the sway bar is really no big deal. You don't really drop it, you only lower it a few inches. You don't have to disconnect brake lines or anything like that.

Have they ever done one before?

Not this particular model due to its newness, but they are high end, working pretty exclusively on BMW, MB, Porsche, including complete restorations. I have great confidence in them, and appreciate that they did not rush into doing the rear until we research this further. They are also trying to see if this can be done in fewer labor op hours, but they are totally competent. The concern is more mine than theirs, as 3.5 additional hours adds more expense than I was anticipating. Thanks!
